Modern Slavery Statement

This statement sets out the approach taken by Jonathan Hilton to modern slavery and human trafficking in relation to subcontracted software development and consultancy services.

Jonathan Hilton is not required to publish a modern slavery statement under section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, as the business is not within the turnover threshold for that statutory reporting requirement. This statement is published voluntarily to confirm the standards applied when providing services to clients.

Policy Statement

Jonathan Hilton has zero tolerance for modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any form.

All software development and consultancy work is delivered personally by Jonathan Hilton. The business has no employees and does not use a labour supply chain to deliver client work.

Third Parties

Where third parties are used in support of the business, they are limited to reputable providers such as accountants, hosting providers, software platforms, and occasional specialist services.

Before engaging a third party, reasonable care is taken to use established and reputable providers whose services are appropriate for a small software consultancy.

Raising Concerns

If Jonathan Hilton becomes aware of, or reasonably suspects, unethical labour practices, modern slavery, or human trafficking in any supply chain connected to an engagement, the concern will be raised promptly with the relevant client or appropriate contact.

Review

This statement is reviewed annually, or at the start of a client engagement where a client requires confirmation that an anti-slavery policy is in place and up to date.
